Bo's Place

KDP was presented with an amazing opportunity to help a group of children during the holiday season. Bo's place is an organization that provides support for children and their families who have experienced a loss of a parent or sibling.

With the holiday season just around the corner, KDP organized an October bake sale where all profits would sponsor a holiday party for the children. Our enthusiasm about the party could be heard throughout the hallways of our college as we passed out informational brochures from Bo's Place and fed the college students, faculty, and staff with KDP baked items! With the profits, KDP purchased holiday decorations, food, drinks, snacks, music, materials for a variety of activities, Polaroid film, and baked home-made KDP goodies for the children and staff of Bo's Place. KDP also received support from Half-Price books, where they donated about 20 books for our holiday party-- which we used as a parting gifts for the children.

Now the Bo's Place holiday party has become a yearly tradition for our chapter! :-)

Join our twitter page to quick follow what our chapter is doing to help enhance educational experiences for our members!

Facebook

Are you a current student at the University of Houston and have a facebook account? If so, join us for great network opportunities, chapter events, videos, photos, resources, and more!! Facebook is our main form of communication for our chapter.

March for Babies

One of our chapter traditions is to participate in the March of Dimes/March for Babies every year. The money we raise helps fund research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it. Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies' health today.

If you can't join us on the day of the walk, please donate to our team. It's fast, easy and secure. KDP work
